DESCRIPTION:Entry Fee – Pre-Registration\n5K Run/Walk – $15 ($12 w/o T-Shirt)\nOne Mile Fun Run (All Ages) – $12 ($10 w/o T-Shirt)\nSCROLL DOWN TO REGISTER NOW!!! \nEntry Fee – Race Day\n5K Run/Walk – $18 ($15 w/o T-Shirt)\nOne Mile Fun Run (All Ages) – $14 ($12 w/o T-Shirt) \nA Run for Sickle Cell\nThe 33rd Annuual Run/Walk for Sickle Cell Anemia featuring the “Tim Simpkins One Mile Fun Run for All” is an official event during sickle cell month (September) sponsored by the Sickle Cell Foundation Inc. with special assistance of Gulf Winds Track Club. \nWho Can Enter?\nAmyone adequately trained and in proper physical condition to run or walk 3.1 miles is welcome to participate in this event (Signature of parent or guardian is required if participant is under 18 years of age) \nCourse Information\nThe TAC certified course (#FL87029BH) is fast and mostly flat top loop – a good P.R. course (see map). Splits will be given at each mile mark. Thirst aid is available at the start\, mid-course and finish of the race. \nThe Schedule\nThe 33rd Annual Run/Walk for sickle cell will be held on Saturday morning\, September 13\, 2014 (rain or shine). The following events are scheduled:\nRace Day Registration – 7:00 am\nWelcome and Briefing – 8:00 am\nTim Simpkins One Mile Fun Run for All – 8:10 am\n5K Run/Walk – 8:30 am \nStart & Finish\nThe race will start and finish at the Jake Gaither Recreation Center and Golf Course located on Tanner Drive.
