Purpose: To provide current information on the treatment of and care of patients with Sickle Cell Disease

At the end of the workshop, each participant will be able to :

• Discuss, analyze, and demonstrate methodology used in research, literacy, screening and outreach programs for the delivery of care to patients with Sickle Cell Disease.
• Evaluate, programs of counseling, psychological aspects, care in foreign countries, families with sickle cell children and the role of nursing in the provision of care to the population
