Purpose:
To provide current information on the treatment of and care of patients with Sickle Cell Disease.
Course Objectives
At the end of the workshop, each participant will be able to:
1. Discuss, analyze, and demonstrate methodology used in research, education and delivery of care to the sickle cell population.
2. Evaluate, the use of a conceptual model, specific treatments, coping strategies, community involvement, and special programs addressing cures for sickle cell disease.
