Purpose:

To provide current information on the treatment of and care of patients with Sickle Cell Disease.

Course Objectives

At the end of the workshop, each participant will be able to: 1. Discuss, analyze, and demonstrate methodology used in research, education and delivery of care to the sickle cell population 2. Examine organizational provision of education and service on Sickle Cell Disease 3. Analyze efforts of service to patients with sickle cell disease, in the church and school 4. Discuss one method of health coverage of patients with Sickle Cell Disease
