Purpose: To provide information on current approaches to management of patients with Sickle Cell Disease.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the workshop, each participant will be able to:

  1. Discuss and analyze different approaches to delievey of care to patients with Sickle Cell Disease
  2. Evaluate new research related to rtreatment and management in patients with Sickle Cell Disease
  3. Examine the relationships among pain, psychology, community and culture, related to the approach to caare of patients with Sickle Cell Disease.
